A Beautiful Surprise

This Saturday, Cameron and I will be celebrating our ten year wedding anniversary! We are renewing our vows to each other tomorrow and then we'll have a beautiful lunch at a local restaurant. We are really looking forward to spending time with each other and celebrating our family. When we came home from the shops this afternoon, we were surprised by this waiting for us at the front door. These gorgeous flowers are from Michelle and Peter! We cannot thank you enough for your love and thoughtfulness.
This has truly made our day! xxx

Starry Night

Here is my DT layout for ARTastic for October. The artist for the month is Vincent Van Gogh and the artwork is "Starry Night". This is my second layout... the first attempt included lots of swirly paint and it didn't turn out the way I had hoped. I am so happy that I had another go... it looks much better and is more my style. You can find out more about ARTastic's challenge here!

I was inspired by Van Gogh's use of bold bright colours and tried to reflect this by using yellow and different shades of blue. I used white bazzill as a base to act as a canvas and I used flourishes to reflect the swirls and movement in the night sky. Thanks for stopping by! xxx

Taking A Nap

We began the day down at the bay watching Caitlyn on her bike and then taking a long walk along the water. We explored rock pools, watched crabs and just generally enjoyed being near the water. I've had a little time this arvo to finish this layout too... We are making the most of the school holidays and the beautiful weather...
Hope you are having a nice day too! xxx

Bubbles

Here is a layout I completed last night. When I got up this morning I resisted the urge to add more embellishments to the layout and walk away from the table! LOL... I cannot believe these photos of my princess were taken two years ago! I used a fairy fun pack from Enchanted for this layout. Thanks for stopping by! xxx

Polka Dots

I was in the mood for a sketch and came across A2Z Scraplets September Sketch Challenge. I used a heap of BG June Bug paper I picked up at LSBS. I love these papers so, so much! I took this photo of Mickey Moo at my Dad's place when we went to Sydney in July. Thanks for stopping by! xxx

All Girl

I wanted to pop in and add another layout I finished this morning. For some reason I scrap early on Saturday mornings when I should be doing housework! This layout is for Enchanted's Chocolate Sunday challenge. I think this photo of Caitlyn is gorgeous... just look at those eyes! I got to use some new bling too. Thanks for stopping by!

Fly

Here is a layout I created last weekend and it turned out rather nicely! It was for Enchanted's Indulgence Competition and we were asked to create a layout about how you enjoy your time out and relax. We were asked to use cream with one other colour on the layout. The photo shows DH and our little one having some fun on the beach. I love to relax on the beach and take photos of our family. The photo is beautiful and I am really happy with the result!

With a new month brings a new movie poster from "Screen To Scrap" to inspire! This month's poster is "Home Alone" with the added criteria of red or blue cardstock, one piece of patterned paper and a two word title. Below is the poster and my take on the challenge! A New Month

I love the beginning of a new month and a new season... so many plans to make! I also love a fresh month because of the new scrapping kits and challenges to be found on the net. I love cyberspace! LOL :)

The new September challenge for ARTastic is up... This month the spotlight is on the artist Wassily Kandinsky and below is the image for our scrappy inspiration...

I have always loved Kandinsky's work and studied his art in High School. I love the clean lines, bright colours and use of white space which I have tried to reflect in my layout. I also included geometric patterned paper, black scallops and a circle embellishment which also came through in this artwork.
