Beautiful Soul

Here is my layout for the ARTastic Challenge Blog for May. It is inspired by Dali's "Landscape With Butterflies". I have to say that I am a bit chuffed to be part of a contributing team, making lovely layouts with many other talented ladies and seeing them up on the blog!

This photo of my little one was taken by a friend, Tracey, who kindly photoshoped the image... I thought that the Basic Grey "Ambrosia" range would match Dali and the photo perfectly. I also love all of the flowers as it softens the bright orange a little... any excuse to add more flowers! Thank you Tracey and to Allison at ARTastic!

A Fairytale Party...

Today is Caitlyn's birthday and yesterday we had family and friends over for a pink party. The birthday party was wonderful with lots of pink food and lots of happy little kiddies!

Check out my Mum's gift to Caitlyn... it is a Kaiser Craft OTP castle, decorated with papers, rub-ons, flowers and lots of bling! Mum
re-wrote Rapunzel to fit on the pages and now Caitlyn has a beautiful storybook which she can read on her own and we will treasure it always. You can tell this gift is made with love... it is so beautiful! Thank you Mum... I love you lots! xxx

Not According To Plan...

Another quick share of a layout I finished over the weekend. The layout was for Enchanted Scrapbooking's Slice Of Life competition. This week we needed to scrap a not so perfect moment or a not so perfect photo. I love this photo because of the way my little one popped her hand up on her head in the last minute! I love the Fancy Pants paper too and the lines in the background have an academic feel, which matches this school photo. Thanks for looking! xxx

A Quick Share...

Here is a layout I finished this morning. The photo is of my DD taken a few years ago. The photo was a surprise as it was at the end of a roll of film and we only had it developed in the past few weeks! I love using the BG Urban Prarie pp and I made the flowers from Deanne's 52 Pick Up Challenge over at LSBS. The layout is 8"x8". I am really enjoying scrapping in this size at the moment, because some of my photos are too small for a traditional 12"x12". Thanks for looking! xxx

Added note... I've taken this layout down for a little while as the technique I've used is similar to some cards I am hoping to submit. :)

Happiness

Here is a layout I finished last night for the May Challenge over at Enchanted Scrapbooking. The challenge had a "Mum" theme with the colours of white, yellow and orange. Cam took this photo of me while we went to the local park on Mother's Day. I usually don't like photos of myself, but this one is not too bad! I like the way the layout turned out and I think the colour combination is fantastic! It was a great way to use some of the Ambrosia BG pp I have.

Nuture Your Mind

I wanted to share this layout I did a few weeks ago. It was a Just For Fun Challenge over at Enchanted Scrapbooking. We had to use our old stash, stamping, an animal and three colours. I took this photo while we were on holidays at Maroochydore earlier this year... our youngest was waiting for Daddy to get back to our cabin. We had such an amazing and relaxing holiday, I loved every moment!

Slice Of Life - Week 2

Here is my layout for the Slice Of Life competiton over at Enchanted Scrapbooking. This photo of my daughter was taken last month at a local park called Indigiscapes. It was a great place to visit, take photos and explore. We even went on a bushwalk and had a little picnic afterwards. I love this photo and was quite suprised that my little Canon Power Shot could take such a lovely image. I love the way the light bounces of her hat... just magical. I am sure this photo will be scrapped more than once!

LSBS Challenge 20

I have finally joined in the fun over at LSBS 52 Pick Up where there is a new challenge every week. This week's challenge was making torn flowers, but I didn't read the instructions carefully and so I neatly measured and cut my flowers out instead! Oh well... the cards still look lovely and the flowers have been fun to make. I used yummy BG Urban Prarie pp and my new SU! sentiment stamp. I have been making the flowers in front of tv of an evening - these flowers are totally addictive!

Added note... These cards have been removed for a little while as they may be considered for publication. :)

In the mean time, I had a lovely weekend away at Warana on the Sunshine Coast with the gorgeous girls from Scrapchat... we had an amazing time! I enjoyed the wonderful company, delicious food, sleep-ins, shopping and of course creating! Here is a layout I scrapped while I was away. The photo was taken the first time I visited Warana. Thanks for looking!

Slice Of Life

Here is my entry for the first week of the Slice Of Life competition over at Enchanted Scrapbooking. The layout was to be inpsired by the following quote;

"In the end, life is not measured in the amount of breaths we take,
but by the moments that take our breath away." Shing Xiong

The layout is of my DD napping on a friends lounge. A big thank you to Tracey who took the photo and altered it too! I stamped around the edges of the photo, layered it with a few pieces of paper and added a stunning flower I received from Shelee last year. I am really pleased with the way it has turned out!

Now to work on my 52Q's... I am so behind! LOL...

April LSBS Cybercrop

A few weeks ago, LSBS had their cybercrop and I really love the wonderful challenges the DT come up with every month. My only wish was that I had the time to do them all! This time around, I completed Belle's inspirational challenge on the hard work women face. For some reason this challenge spoke to me and I went back to our baby albums and found this pici of my gorgeous DD when she was just a few weeks old! Thank you for the beautiful challenge Belle! xxx

Enchanted Class

Last Sunday evening I joined an online class over at Enchanted, using their "Whoooo Loves Fairies" kit. The class was wonderful and I really enjoyed scrapping in a different style, using papers and embellies I may not otherwise have used. I believe this kit is now sold out, but three new kits went up last night and they are gorgeous - I just had to buy a few! Have a great weekend! xxx

May ARTastic Challenge

The May Challenge over at ARTastic is up... this month the artist is Dali and his painting, "Landscape with Butterflies." I also found out this week that I am part of the contributing team at ARTastic along with some other talented ladies! I am really excited because this is the first time I have been part of a "team" and secondly, I truly love the idea of being inspired by art...

Here is my layout for ARTastic for the April Challenge, where the artist featured was Klimt. The layout is called "Dream" and it is a pici of my DD taking a nap at a friend's place! Thank you for the photo Tracey! Thanks for stopping by! xxx
